Philippine Eagle

The Philippine Eagle is considered to be one of the most endangered birds in the world Rapid depletion of the rainforests in the Philippines has taken away this eagles habitat.

The Philippine Eagle is the National bird of the Philippines.

The Eagles reside high in the trees of the tropical rainforest and eat mostly monkeys but also include large snakes, and flying lemurs.

Efforts to protect this bird are starting to have an impact, currently rewards are offered for people who find this eagle's nest and report it. Currently there are only 60 known Philippine eagles left in the world including 17 in capture.
